Attorney Jeffrey Sankey is committed to upholding the principles of equality and non-discrimination. After retiring from his special education and employment law practice in June 2024, Attorney Sankey now specializes in conducting independent investigations for schools and municipalities, including investigations under Title IX, Title VI, bullying and employee misconduct.

Title IX Investigations

When allegations of sex discrimination or sexual harassment arise within an educational institution, a thorough and impartial investigation is required. Attorney Sankey possesses a deep understanding of Title IX regulations and investigative procedures. Through years of experience as an education attorney, he has developed the skills to gather evidence, interview witnesses, and assess the credibility of claims, ensuring that all parties involved are treated fairly and that the outcome is just.​

 

​Title VI Investigations

A Title VI investigation delves into whether a recipient of federal financial assistance has discriminated on the basis of race, color, or national origin. It involves gathering evidence, interviewing witnesses, and analyzing policies and practices to determine if discrimination occurred. Through his three decades of practice as an employment lawyer, Attorney Sankey has the experience necessary to address these complex issues.

After a distinguished career representing families in special education matters, Attorney Jeffrey Sankey has embarked on a new chapter. He has transitioned his practice to focus exclusively on independent Investigations for schools and municipalities.

 

Attorney Sankey's extensive experience in special education and employment law, as well as his experience as a former military judge, allows him to understand the intricacies of the school environment and to focus on the complex issues that arise when allegations of discrimination or harassment are raised.
